The B. C. Roy Memorial Library at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has successfully organised a series of national-level workshops in 2022, 2024, and 2025, reflecting its continued commitment to professional development and capacity building in the field of Library and Information Science.
These workshops were thoughtfully designed to address emerging trends and challenges in the domain, covering areas such as data carpentry, research data management, open-source tools, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in libraries, and digital information services. Each programme brought together distinguished resource persons and participants from diverse institutions, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, skill enhancement, and academic collaboration.
Through these initiatives, the Library continues to play a significant role in supporting and empowering LIS professionals, while contributing to the advancement of modern, data-driven library services.
