Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is a public business school in Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was the first Indian Institute of Management established in 1961 and recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. IIM Calcutta is one of only three triple-accredited business schools in India and the first to get recognition. It is also the only business school in India part of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education.

IIM Calcutta Digital Archives was initiated and developed by B. C. Roy Memorial Library to showcase the institutional memory and the glorious history of the institute. The archives contain several collections for systematically disseminating all the information to the IIMC community and the general public. It holds an extensive collection of images, videos, and documents. People can easily browse or search for resources with a suitable elastic search mechanism. The archives deal with the timeline of all the people, events, and programs associated with the institute. The archives is integrated with a unique tool to visually displays real-world relationships between all the resources in the archives. The tool displays thumbnails and titles of related resources when you view an item. It also shows a graphical visualization depicting the relationships among resources. The user instantly sees how the resource fits in with the rest of the collection and quickly discovers related resources. In order to expand the archives' scope, a new feature has been added to allow any stakeholder to comment on any existing item or submit a new item related to the institute and worth preserving.
