Education and career:
Prof. Alok Kumar Rai completed his B.Sc. from University of Allahabad, MBA from Banaras Hindu University, and Ph.D. from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University. He served as the 40th Vice-Chancellor of University of Lucknow from December 2019 to July 2025 and also held additional charge as Vice-Chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
