The Five-Day National Workshop on Data Carpentry and AI/ML Tools for Libraries has been formally inaugurated by Prof. Ravindran Rajesh Babu, Dean (Executive Education), IIM Calcutta, and Prof. Peeyush Mehta, IIM Calcutta, marking a meaningful beginning to an enriching learning journey.
The inaugural session has been graced by distinguished resource persons, including Dr. Narayan Chandra Ghosh, Librarian, B. C. Roy Memorial Library, IIM Calcutta, and Prof. Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay, Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kalyani. The ceremony has encompassed the traditional lighting of the lamp, a warm welcome address, and insightful remarks that have emphasized the growing significance of data skills, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies in advancing the role of modern libraries.
The event has set a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere, bringing together library and information professionals from across the country who have come to learn, collaborate, and explore innovative tools for the future of libraries.
