Prof. Krishna G. Palepu ( 13th batch )

Prof. Krishna G. Palepu has been the Ross Graham Walker Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean for International Development at Harvard Business School since 1983. He holds a doctorate in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, and an Honorary Doctorate from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. In addition to his academic role, he serves as the Senior Advisor to the President for Global Strategy at Harvard University. He previously served as Senior Associate Dean for International Development at Harvard Business School, where he oversaw the School’s research activities and global initiatives. Prof. Palepu is a world-renowned scholar in the fields of strategy and governance, with numerous publications in leading academic journals and a distinguished career in teaching and research in the United States. His research primarily focuses on strategy in emerging markets, financial analysis, and corporate governance. He has served on the editorial boards of leading academic journals and has acted as a consultant to a wide range of businesses. He also teaches in several Harvard Business School executive education programs designed for corporate board members. His work on governance emphasises board engagement with strategy and is featured in a chapter of his recently published book, The Future of Boards.
