Work Experience:
Prof. Ashok Banerjee has had a distinguished academic career in finance and accounting. He started as an Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, from June 1, 2000, to May 22, 2003. During this period, he also undertook a visiting assignment as Associate Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, in January 2002, where he taught a course on "Mergers & Acquisitions." He was subsequently appointed Professor in Finance and Accounting at IIM Lucknow, serving from May 23, 2003, to August 1, 2004. Following this, Prof. Banerjee joined IIM Calcutta, where he served from August 2, 2004, to July 17, 2022, making significant contributions to both teaching and research in his field.
