The proposed "System and Operations Management" stream in the Post-Graduate Programme aims to equip students with the skills to apply Operations Research and Systems Analysis to complex decision-making scenarios. The curriculum focuses on real-life organizational problems, especially in the Indian context, and emphasizes the integration of decision, control, and information systems. The program covers foundational subjects like statistics, economics, and behavioral science, gradually progressing to advanced topics such as Management Information Systems (MIS), systems simulation, and decision analysis. The curriculum is divided into six terms, with students having the option to pursue a thesis in the final terms. This structured approach ensures a holistic understanding of systems design, evaluation, and management.
