The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, The first institute in the IIM system, has entered the 50th year of its journey on November 14, 2010. What started as a small institute in late 1961 has today blossomed into one of the leading management schools in Asia. The institute has celebrated its golden jubilee over a period of two years from November 14, 2010-November 14, 2012.
We produced a special duo of documentary films on IIM Calcutta to mark its golden jubilee. This video - “Forerunner” was directed by Goutam Ghosh, a noted filmmaker of Bengal and his film depicts the travails of the journey that the institute has undertaken since its inception.
